Drowning within myself
It's hard to breathe
I try to swim
I just want to be free
The waves are crashing over my face
I struggle to be still
I have to cross the ocean
to find the treasures buried deep within
Sometimes I see those creatures of light
Swimming with such ease
They give me courage to be myself
And that gives me some peace
Is that the shore or just my dream
Unfulfilled desires don't let me sleep
And then I hear those whispers kind
My spirit takes a leap
